2018 has been a big year for SPS DGTLThank you for collaborating with us, making our favorite moments from this year possible, and for being part of our community.

This year, we saw the SPS DGTL family grow, and we welcomed members in all our teams:

The Creative Team welcomed Emma Guller, Fernanda Yee Soto, and Kaitlin Wichmann.

The Engagement Team added the most new team members with AJ Cisneros, Marleen Barragan, Gabby Hwozdek, and Jocelyn Martinez.

The Software Development Team welcomed Baraon Gallegos, Tristan Thielemann, and Bryce Boesen.

2018 was the year to innovate and create new opportunities, and our team didn’t disappoint. We've built the Engage platform, an innovative digital customer service platform. Engage allows our customer care team to service our clients with efficiency and accuracy. Our agents love the intuitive and beautiful design of the UI as well as the practical functionality.

With the end of the year just around the corner, our leadership team took a moment to reflect on 2018’s experiences:

Q: What’s your favorite project of 2018?

Joe: Interacting and training our newest team members is always a special treat for me.

Madelyn: We worked on so many exciting projects this year, but I think my absolute favorite is the magazine we designed and produced. This was a new challenge for us as an agency, and it really gave us room to stretch our creativity. Plus, it's so satisfying to be able to physically hold a finished product in your hands... since most of our work exists solely on digital, it's been a fun new experience.

Shaun: It really is hard to pick just one, I liked so many of them but for very different reasons. We helped launch an Indie film and seeing the pages go from just starting to having a large following was fun. Seeing that the premiers were all sold out weeks in advance was great confirmation as to the power of digital marketing. Treating ourselves like a client and revamping our website and social was also a lot of fun.  It’s good to take your own medicine from time to time.

Q: What’s your proudest moment of this year?

Joe: Our successful launch and execution of Engage had me on my toes doing a tap dance! That has to have been the best moment here at the office.

Madelyn: Launching the new was a huge moment for me. I'm so incredibly proud of the team that worked on it. Through months of strategy, collaboration, and straight up hard work, they knocked it out of the park and we launched what is without a doubt the best website we've ever had. For the first time in our SPS history, I feel like we finally have a website that articulates who we are and what we do in a way that's clear, concise, and easy to understand.

Shaun: Today. Watching the team at our HQ have fun and get ready for the holidays. Just taking a step back and watching the way they care for each other... the way they laugh. People say there’s something special about our culture and I’m very proud of that.

What is the biggest lesson you learned in 2018?

Shaun: Hard things are hard - there’s no way around it.

Madelyn: This was an amazing year of growth for us. Our Creative team grew so much, and we really grew together as a team throughout the year. We basically tripled in size since the start of the year, but we're stronger and closer than ever. We all learned how to work together, how to pitch in and lend a helping hand. As a leader, it's been incredible to watch some of the members of the team step up, take on even more responsibility, and start to lead themselves.

Joe: Don’t be afraid of change. Change is good and once the dust settles, you come out better for it.

What are you looking forward to in 2019?

Joe: deepening relationships with my office family and doing life (and work) together.

Madelyn: I'm really excited to see where 2019 takes us as a company. I'm excited to work on projects that push us out of our comfort zone creatively and inspire us to do work that's even more innovative. But most of all, I'm excited to see how our team grows both as individuals and as a group.

Shaun: We have some exciting plans to launch a new product that I believe the world really needs. Can’t wait to tell everyone about it.

As the year draws to a close, we are excited for 2019! With every new year, new challenges arise and we are ready to conquer them. We look forward to another year of success, happiness, and exciting collaborations.
